STAMFORD, CT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ken Wesler, new CEO of the Stamford Center for the Arts, has announced that Stephen Bailey will take over programming of the organization.
Bailey, who currently does that booking for the Grand Opera House and Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, as well as the Schwatz Center in Dover, Delaware, will be responsible for booking the 1,580-seat Palace Theatre and the 757 Rich Forum in his new position.
Wesler and Bailey helped bring the Grand Opera House to prominence as a national tour stop during their five years working together and they plan to develop the routing possibilities of the two organizations to increase the activity of each.
“This is a great opportunity for both organizations to attract even more touring artists by combining efforts in the area of booking,” says Wesler.
“We already work closely with venues like the Keswick in Glenside, PA and the Count Basie in Red Bank, NJ to combine our booking efforts, so having another routed opportunity for touring artists will only help in what is a very competitive environment,” adds Bailey.
In addition to his booking duties, Bailey also runs his company APEX Artists, through which he manages David Bromberg, Angel band and Cuban jazz group Habana Sax.
Bailey can be reached at 302-658-7897 or by email at sbailey@grandopera.org. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
