LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Financial services company Citi has partnered with Live Nation to become the promoter's "official credit card partner."
The deal will allow Citi customers benefits connected to Live Nation such as access to presale and preferred tickets, premium and box seats at selected venues, exclusive merch and access to "unique VIP experiences."
In addition to its planned designation as Live Nation's official sponsor in the credit card category in the United States, Citi will receive other opportunities to participate in future initiatives, such as venue naming rights, tie-ins with Live Nation's new ticketing operation and benefit access for other Citi customers. It is anticipated that Citi's brand messaging and logo will be integrated into online and offline initiatives as well as in signage, direct mail campaigns, and LiveNation.com.
To kick the new partnership off, Citi is planning on a new advertising campaign that will feature both Mary J. Blige and Nickelback. Starting next week, visitors to the stories.citicards.com website will have an opportunity to media such as songs and interviews with and even play games with both artists.
Additionally, Citi customers who use their cards through December 28, will be eligible to win a chance to join Nickelback on their next North American tour for backstage access in three cities or hanging with Mary J. Blige in the studio during an exclusive recording session.
