ONTARIO, California (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Citizens Business Bank Arena is the latest AEG venue to make the switch to the company's new axs ticketing platform, effective May 7th.
AEG launched axs in partnership with Outbox Entertainment (pronounced access) last year and has slowly been migrating venues to the service, and plans to have all of their facilities utilizing the service by March 2013. Unlike rival Ticketmaster's first-come-first-serve system, axs allows users to submit bids for tickets for high demand shows and then users are selected by a lottery-like system from the pool of bidders.
"We're hoping that Axs becomes as much of a household word, as it would, as Ticketmaster has been," arena marketing director Sue Oxarart said.
The first five shows that will be available at the Citizens Business Bank Arena are:
American Idol Live Tour – July 25
Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions – Sept. 8
Los Angeles Kings vs. Anaheim Ducks preseason game – Oct. 6
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trailblazers preseason game – Oct. 10
Cirque du Soleil: Dralion – Oct 24-28
