(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Global Spectrum has been selected by the Clovis (NM) City Commission to assist in the planning, opening and initial operations of a proposed $6-million, 30,000-sq. ft. convention center scheduled to open in 2006.
“It’s the feeling of that (steering) committee that it probably would be appropriate to have someone who has some experience in the process of opening and developing a civic center … to come in and advise us on what some of the pitfalls may be,” City Manager Joe Thomas told Clovis commissioners.
“Global Spectrum is very experienced in facility management, planning, policy formation, and operating similar facilities,” Clovis Mayor David Lansford said. “I think (Global Spectrum’s expertise) will pay huge dividends for us as we prepare for a beautiful new facility.” — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
