Country Music Festival Dega Jam Cancelled

TALLADEGA, Ala. (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for the inaugural Dega Jam, a country music festival planned for the July 4th weekend in Talledega, Alabama, say the has been cancelled.

The festival, which was to feature a lineup that included Eric Church, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton and Kid Rock, was being developed through a partnership between AEG Live and New Orleans-based Festival Productions Ventures LLC, the company behind Jazz Fest

Festival Productions Ventures, LLC, the producers of Dega Jam, said in a press release that they "regret to announce that despite the tremendous enthusiasm many have expressed about the Dega Jam festival, set for this 4th of July weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, the event has been canceled."

"We sincerely apologize to everyone impacted by this difficult decision—fans, artists, industry partners, corporate partners, and everyone at Talladega Superspeedway."

Dega Jam joins the growing ranks of cancelled country music festivals, alongside of other recently canceled events such as Live Nation's Farmborough Festival, and Goldenvoice's Big Barrel festival.
