Don Law Buys In At Boston HoB

BOSTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran New England promoter Don Law has teamed up with Joe Dunne and Declan Mehigan to acquire a 50% stake in the Boston House of Blues location. The three partners have launched a new venture named Crossroads Presents to operate the club through and claim to have some changes planned for the Lansdowne Street venue.

"We hope to add to the experience," Dunne told the Boston Globe. "We want to give it more of a local feel than a corporate feel. We hope to do away with any cookie-cutter aspect."

Financial terms of the agrement were not disclosed and licensing issues still need to be resolved before the deal can be finalized, but the Boston Globe reports that sources have said that the deal is all but done.

Law is already partened with Mehigan in two other clubs; the the Paradise and Brighton Music Hall, while Dunne and Mehigan are in a separate partnership which owns several other Boston-area venues, including Lir, McGann's, and the Globe.

Law is also serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Music Division at Live Nation but seems to increasingly be returning to independent promotion. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
