Hagar To Open Cabo Wabo Cantina In St. Louis

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Sammy Hagar plans to open a Cabo Wabo Cantina in spring 2007 in St. Louis' new $290 million Bottle District. "I love St. Louis!" said Hagar. "I was given the name Red Rocker in St. Louis. I love the people here. I can't wait till we're open."

The current Cabo Wabo Cantinas are located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and South Lake Tahoe, NV. Hagar is known for visiting his Cantinas and playing impromptu concerts with many of his industry friends. Evenings feature an active bar with live entertainment and a fun dining atmosphere.

"We're rockin' now!" said Dan McGuire, CEO of BDP, LLC, the developer of The Bottle District. "Sammy Hagar is one of the best rock 'n roll entertainers alive. He has built the Cabo Wabo brand with passion. We're thrilled to bring the Cabo Wabo experience to The Bottle District and St. Louis."

. "St. Louis is a key market for Cabo Wabo," said Barry Augus, president of Cabo Wabo Enterprises. "The Bottle District promises to be a marquis destination that will redefine and reenergize downtown St. Louis. We're proud to be a part of that revitalization."

The Cabo Wabo Cantina will include a lighthouse modeled after the design of the first Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It will be constructed in a prime location within The Bottle District, and be visible from blocks away. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
