Heaven & Hell Cancel Summer Tour

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ronnie James Dio's ongoing battle with cancer has led his band Heaven & Hell to pull all of their tourdates scheduled for this summer.

Members of the group issued a statement on the matter: "We have to announce that all forthcoming Heaven & Hell European shows have been cancelled as sadly Ronnie isn't well enough to tour. We hope that everyone understands and want to thank fans and industry colleagues for their continuing support at this time."

Dio, along with other Black Sabbath alumni including Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Apice formed Heaven & Hell in 2006. The band had been touring in support of their first full-length album, "The Devil You Know" which was released in April 2009.

Dio was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2009 and recently announced that the illness was making eating difficult.
