COMSTOCK, NE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After Henry Nuxoll, the organizer of the Comstock Festivals, was charged with writing bad checks, it seemed like the Comstocks had come to an end they appear to have gotten a reprieve under a new property owner, Jim Proskocil of Plattsburg, Mo.
According to the Independent, Proskocil has released a statement which says he has purchased the festival site and intends to stage country and rock concerts there.
"I never wanted to take over the business," Proskocil told the Independent, "But I can't think of any other way to keep it going."
While he was unable to discuss the events he had in mind in detail, citing pending licenses, he did state that he believed it was economically important for the site to continue to stage music events. "For that thing to disappear and evaporate, that's probably a colossal problem for that area," he said. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
