GEORGE, WA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — M.I.A. was forced to cancel her May 26th appearance at the Sasquatch festival over Visa problems.
A press released on the festival’s website confirmed that there had been an unexpected delay in the processing of the Visa.
The statement says that "unexpected delays in the processing and issuance of M.I.A.'s artist visa have forced her to cancel her appearance at this year's Sasquatch Festival. We apologize to our fans and to the promoters of the festival and look forward to returning to the U.S. as soon as possible."
M.I.A.’s eagerly anticipated second album ‘Kala’ will be released this summer. Sasquatch features performances from the likes of Interpol, Arcade Fire, Bjork and The Hold Steady.
Long Winters have been called in to fill the missing slot left open by M.I.A.’s cancellation.
