SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Sean Moriarity, the former CEO of Ticketmaster has been tapped to join the Board of Directors at Eventbrite, a social networking commerce company.
Eventbrite is a San-Fran based company that offers users the tools to manage, market and sell tickets to events through a social-networking website and Moriarty will serve as a strategic advisor to the firm.
Moriarty ran Ticketmaster from 2006 – 2009, as president and then CEO, and led Ticketmaster's transformation into a major global e-commerce player. During that time, Moriarty expanded the scope of the company’s operations through strategic investments and acquisitions, which contributed to Ticketmaster’s significant growth both in the United States and abroad.
