RIDGEFIELD, CT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Connecticut police made seven drug-related arrests in two days before concerts by legendary Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir and his band Ratdog at the Ridgefield Playhouse.
“It was the obvious and public use of drugs that brought police action,” Capt. Steve Brown told the Danbury News-Times. “We had many officers in uniform out and they simply walked through the parking lot and the fields and came upon people clearly using drugs.”
The ages of those arrested ranged from 19 to 40, with possession of drugs including marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms, LSD and heroin.
“We luckily had a good number of officers on the shift both nights but it did tax our resources,” Brown said. “Luckily, we didn’t have other incidents around town.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
