LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ticketmaster UK Ltd, is pleased to announce the successful launch of AccessManage its venue access and ticket authentication system at Braehead Arena in Scotland.
A client since 1999, with a recently renewed contract for a further 5 years, Braehead Arena in Scotland has upgraded their ticketing services with Ticketmaster and installed AccessManager making it the 45th venue to go live with the system in the UK.
AccessManager will enable Braehead Arena to offer innovative customer friendly ticket options to concert goers customers, including print-at-home and mobile phone tickets. The system scans each ticket's unique barcode, validating tickets in real-time, granting entry and deterring counterfeiters by identifying invalid tickets and denying access.
The AccessManager system also enables the venue to offer its customers the TicketFast, service, Ticketmaster's print at home ticketing solution. TicketFast is a quick and convenient way to receive tickets as customers can download and print their own tickets at home immediately after purchase, rather than waiting for them to be posted or spending time queuing at the box office. Each ticket has a unique barcode for security, which is scanned at the venue by front of house staff using a hand held scanner linked to the "real time" sales data of the event.
Chris Edmonds, Managing Director, Ticketmaster UK said: "We have been working with Braehead Arena for over 9 years, and we are delighted to be able to work with them for another 5 years. The introduction of AccessManager will enable Braehead Arena to take full advantage of our investment into innovative ticketing solutions for clients and customers."
Scott Martin, Braehead Arena manager, said: "The AccessManager enhanced ticketing feature that is being introduced at Braehead Arena gives added benefits to the customer as well as the promoter and the venue. With the hand-held barcode scanning equipment our operators will be using, people can gain entry to the arena much more quickly than before and there will be less queuing involved. There is also the facility that if an event -goer needs to be contacted in an emergency situation after they have left home, our operators will have a message appear on their consul when that person presents their ticket and it is scanned. For the promoter this new system allows us to carry out automatic seat upgrade and relocation if a particular section of the arena has to be filled. And for us, AccessManager means that since the tickets are scanned we can easily identify stolen or forged tickets. We are extremely pleased to be extending our partnership with Ticketmaster. We have been working together closely since 1999 and we are looking forward to more years of excellent service and ticketing. The new installation of AccessManager will allow us to continue providing our customers with the latest innovative ticketing technology." –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
