LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) –According to Live Nation, rumors regarding the demise of Rihanna's "Loud" tour have been greatly exaggerated.
A Live Nation source told Billboard that the tour is doing well and that 30 of the pop diva's North American dates are on pace for a sellout. The source also noted that hip-hop and R&B shows tend to see stronger 'last minute' sales and that the entire live sector in general has been trending towards later sales.
The stories about Rihanna's tour troubles were sparked by a 'Page 6' story in the New York Post, which quoted an unnamed source 'close to Rihanna' who said that ticket sales for Rihanna's upcoming tour had been dismal. The source also claimed that the pop diva's management was advising her to cancel some dates on the tour.
Rihanna has also reportedly sold out 56 arena dates for the European leg of her upcoming tour. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
