VENICE, FLA. (CelebrityAccess) Tony-award winning performer Ben Vereen has apologized to female actresses for “inappropriate conduct” a day after a New York Daily News report that several female actresses accused Vereen of alleged sexual misconduct during a production of “Hair” at Florida’s Venice Theatre three years ago.
The actresses accused Vereen of unwanted kissing, inviting them to join him naked in his hot tub and making demaning comments.
Vereen’s lengthy apology said he wanted “to create an environment that replicated the themes of that musical during the rehearsal process” and asked the women would accept his “sincere apology.”
