DENVER, CO (CelebrityAccess) AEG Presents Rocky Mountains and Vail Valley Foundation have announced agreement to exclusively book the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colo, along with announcing the inaugural Whistle Pig Vail concert series.
The amphitheater, with 1,265 seats and a lawn capacity of 1,300, has hosted a variety of entertainment presentations over its 30-year history, from the Vail Dance Festival to the GoPro Mountain Games. AEG and Vail Valley Foundation now promise a host of live performances, with artist and dates to be announced soon.
“The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater is one of the most beautiful venues in the world and we can’t wait to help bring more world class music to the Colorado mountains with the Whistle Pig Vail concert series,”AEG Presents Rocky Mountains Co-President Don Strasburg said in a statement.
“Our Vail Valley community loves music, and we couldn’t be happier to be bringing incremental, great music offerings to the beautiful Ford Amphitheater with the help of a legendary group like AEG Presents Rocky Mountains,” Mike Imhof, President and CEO of the Vail Valley Foundation, added. “Vail in Summer 2018 is going to be better than ever before, and will set the bar for many years to come in the mountain music scene.”
The agreement adds to AEG Presents Rocky Mountain’s extensive portfolio which includes events at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, 1STBANK Center, Bluebird Theater, Ogden Theatre, Gothic Theatre, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Pepsi Center and more in Colorado as well as events in Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Arizona.
