NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) DJ Khaled has been nominated for six awards and Kendrick Lamar five for the upcoming BET Awards.

Khaled’s nominations include album of the year and video of the year for Grateful and “Wild Thoughts,” respectively.

Lamar has five nominations, two for album of the year for the album Damn and the “Black Panther” soundtrack. Damn is the first recording outside of classical or jazz to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize for music.

Other nominees include Migos and SZA who received four nominations at last night’s announcement.

Bruno Mars, Drake, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Cardi B and Chris Brown are also up for awards.

The telecast, celebrating black excellence in music, film, TV, sports and philanthropy, airs from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles June 24.
