LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Kanye West partnered with mobile ticketing platform Dice to ensure that tickets to his three Project Wyoming events ended up in the hands of fans instead of ticket brokers.
The three events, listening/launch parties for his latest album “Ye,” were held in Brooklyn, Miami, and Chicago and were some of the hottest tickets in town. Tickets to the three shows were snapped up in minutes but due to the use of Dice’s platform, did not find their way into the secondary market.
Dice’s mobile technology locks the tickets to a single account, making it impossible to resell them on secondary market sites. If a fan can’t make a show, they can get a refund for their tickets, which will then be resold to the next lucky fan on Dice’s waiting list system.
Fans who did try to flog their tickets via social media found their accounts banned and the tickets resold to other fans, according to Music Week.
warning: tickets for the kanye west events are totally non-transferable. some chancers are attempting to sell their tix but they can’t. if you try and buy them you’ll lose your money and won’t get in 😬
