LONDON, UK (CelebrityAccess) – Pianist and songwriter Reuben James, has just signed a worldwide deal with Warner/Chappell.
Best known for his ongoing collaborations with Sam Smith, James co-wrote the title track from Smith’s most recent album The Thrill of it All, as well as the song “Him.”
A former Rising Star winner at the British Jazz Awards, James was recruited to join Smith’s band while performing at London famed venue, Ronnie Scott’s, and has since joined Smith on multiple world tours.
James has also collaborated with artists including Disclosure, Bruno Major, Little Mix, Callum Scott and Tom Misch.
Of the signing, James said: “I’m delighted to sign this deal with Warner/Chappell as I take the next step in my career. I want to continue collaborating with amazing artists, but I’m also looking forward to writing and release music in my own name, exploring the boundaries between jazz and pop sounds.”
