ASHEVILLE, N.C. (CelebrityAccess) The U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, N.C. Might be seeking a name change because the naming rights agreement with U.S. Cellular runs out next year.
The city said it has opened up the process to negotiate a new licensing agreement “that is in the best interest of the Civic Center and the city as a whole,” according to the Citizen Times. The current agreement was approved in 2011 with a total term value of $1.35 million.
The agreement is expected to expire Dec. 31, 2019.
