NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Singer-songwriter James Taylor stopped into The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Thursday night to perform his classic hit “Carolina In My Mind.”
Taylor performed the hit from his 1969 debut album on his acoustic guitar, with the assistance of his touring band and a group of backup singers and managed to add a little to the performance.
The song choice may have been a nod to show host Stephen Colbert, who grew up on James Island, in South Carolina.
Taylor is in the middle of a short residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and he is lined up for a pair of performances at the Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, MA on July 3 and 4.
