OKLAHOMA (CelebrityAccess) Turnpike Troubadours, the one-time road warriors from Oklahoma, have canceled numerous shows over the past year with announcements that hint at troubling situations and have done so again recently.

The Red Dirt rock band was expected to play last night at House Pasture Cattle Co. in Concan, Texas, then at the Lone Star Jam in Austin today but instead posted a notice asking fans for prayers and support but, not only that, thanking them for all the “sold out shows, the memories and support.”

The band, once known for performing more than 100 times a year, dropped a headline gig at the Mile o Fest in Key West, Fla., in January, plus a House of Blues show in Chicago after the doors had opened, and canceled the makeup date plus two other shows because of “unforeseen circumstances.” Last year, it dropped out of the Bandwagon Tour alongside Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town because of “family emergencies” and dropped several November performances because of a “situation that needs our complete attention.”

At the time, the band said that “when one of us is down, we are there to lift them up and help them down the road.”

This time, the band posted the following:

This weekends shows are unfortunately not going to happen for Turnpike Troubadours. On behalf of the band we apologize for all the cancellations previously and this weekend. Thank you all for the sold out shows, the memories and support. Please keep us in your prayers.
