NANTUCKET, Mass. (CelebrityAccess) Kevin Spacey appeared in a Nantucket District Court in Massachusetts today for a pre-trial hearing of charges regarding an alleged 2016 incident of sexual assault. Spacey was not required to attend the hearing.
Spacey’s last appearance in court was in January, at which point he refused to enter a plea, and a “not guilty” plea was entered for him, under Massachusetts law. Spacey’s attorneys call the allegations “patently false.”

Spacey was charged last year with felony indecent assault and battery based on allegations from the son of TV anchor Heather Unruh, who claims the actor groped him at Nantucket’s Club Car bar in 2016. Spacey’s attorney’s today accused the alleged victim of “misrepresentation” and “manipulation” of cell phone evidence.

Spacey’s lawyers believe the accuser went “to great lengths to remove text messages he believes did not fit his narrative,” providing “falsified screenshots” and excluding “exculpatory text messages” from what he showed to law enforcement.
If Spacey is convicted, he could face two years in jail.
