NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Some of country music’s biggest stars have been announced as performers at this year’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular when it takes place live from Brooklyn Bridge on Thursday night.
The lineup this year includes more than a dollop of country music and features performances”My Church” singer Maren Morris, as well as Brad Paisley, and Luke Bryan. ”
Location” singer Khalid, who is currently on the road with his Free Spirit World Tour, is also lined up to perform.
Now in its 43rd year, the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will take place on July 4th with performances followed by fireworks starting at about 9:30PM.
The festivities will be co-hosted by NBC’s “World of Dance” star Derek Hough and singer Ciara, who also plan to perform together in a medley for the show.
As well, a pre-recorded playlist of music curated by Jennifer Hudson will accompany the fireworks, including her own rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” to mark the 80th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz.
All told, more than 70,000 shells and effects will be launched Brooklyn bridge and from four barges positioned in the East River near pier 17.
