NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Chance the Rapper has made history by becoming the first independent SoundCloud Premier creator to hit 1 billion streams on the platform.
The Chicago-born artist was presented with a plaque to mark the milestone backstage during his Good Morning America Concert Series performance last week. The plaque was presented by SoundCloud’s Global Head of Artist Relations & Label Services, Lisa Ellis, and President, Mike Weissman.
Chance’s first uploaded to the platform, his #10Day mixtape, was released eight years ago. Earlier in 2019, he released his debut album The Big Day, which peaked at No.2 on the Billboard 200.
