SAN DIEGO (CelebrityAccess) – Anaheim Arena Management has reportedly been tapped to take over operations of San Diego’s Pechanga Arena, according to Arena Digest.
Earlier this year, San Diego officials issued a request for proposals (RFP) from prospective firms to handle operations at the arena. The city fielded a series of pitches that included bids from Anaheim Arena Management–an entity backed by San Diego Gulls (AHL) and Anaheim Ducks owners Henry and Susan Samueli–as well as current operators AEG and the Hahn family, whose present agreement runs through May of 2020.
Officials have reportedly opted to move toward a potential agreement with Anaheim Arena Management, however, no deal between the two sides as been finalized as of yet. Any agreement will require San Diego City Council approval.
