LONDON (CelebrityAccess) – International advocacy organization Global Citizen has today (Nov. 19) announced the performers for this year’s Global Citizen Prize award ceremony.
John Legend, who will also serve as the evening’s host, will be joined by the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Raphael Saadiq, Sting, Stormzy, Chris Martin and H.E.R.
The ceremony, which takes place on December 13 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, celebrates the world’s most inspiring activists who are working to end extreme poverty in five categories: artist, business leader, world leader, Cisco Youth Leadership Award and Global Citizen of the Year.
The televised special will air December 20 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. MSNBC, and will re-air on December 22 at 10 p.m. EST and on December 31 at 11 p.m. EST.
Global Citizen is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty, tackle climate change and reduce inequality by 2030.
