WASHINGTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Although U. S. concert ticket sales declined by 2% last year, attendance at live entertainment events at U.S. casinos during 2008 increased by 6.7% from the prior year.
According to a recently released study conducted by the American Gaming Association (AGA), 51% of visitors to U.S. casinos last year attended a concert, show and other live event.
"State of The States – The AGA Survey of Casino Entertainment" also reported that 48% of all casino visitors in 2008 patronized a bar or club during their visits, which was an increase of 14.8% over the prior year.
