AC/DC Remains On Top Of Euro Chart

LONDON (VIP-NEWS) – Billboard's pan-European sales charts show a sixth aggregate week atop European Top 100 Albums chart for AC/DC's "Black Ice".

Beyoncé's "If I Were A Boy" gets a third non-consecutive week at No. 1 on Eurochart Hot 100 Singles.

The AC/DC album climbs 6-4 in Hungary, 7-5 in Austria and 7-6 in France, and stays ahead of Il Divo's "The Promise" (Syco Music/Sony BMG), which moves back 3-2 on the composite chart. That's helped by moves of 2-1 in Sweden and 4-2 in Holland. Enya's "And Winter Came" (Reprise/Warner Music) finishes the year in the No. 3 spot, down a place as it falls 1-2 in the Belgian region of Flanders.

Seal's "Soul" (Warner Bros.) holds at No. 4 overall and Take That's "The Circus" (Polydor/Universal) moves up 6-5. The former boy band is in a fourth week atop the U.K. chart, selling 133,000 units for a running total to last weekend of 1,446,000.

Beyoncé's single, which had two weeks on top of the Eurochart in late November and early December, moves back 3-1 after rebounding 4-3 in the United Kingdom, 7-5 in Italy and 10-6 in Germany. Her "I Am…Sasha Fierce" set has moved back 21-17-15 in the last three weeks on Top 100 Albums.

With little year-end activity on the Eurochart, the average stay on the Hot 100 of singles in this week's top ten is 12.5 weeks. The longest-runner among them is Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald's "This Is The Life" (Vertigo/Universal), which holds at No. 9 in its 36th week on the Eurochart. According to Billboard
