LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — British singer Adele has confirmed that she has a new album in the works and that it will hit the shelves, digital or otherwise on November 25th.
Titled 25, Adele says that the name reflects a turning point in her life when she reached the age of 25.
"I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven’t got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to," Adele said in a post on her website.
"My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven’t got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to. What’s done is done. Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties. Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk," she added.
Adele's previous album, 2011's "21" proved to be a smash hit, selling more than 30 copies worldwide and proving to be the 4th best selling album in UK history. In addition to other chart feats, the album is the longest running number one album by a female solo artist in the history of the UK and U.S. Album Charts and earned Adele Billboard's artist of the year award among numerous other accolades.
The lead single from her new album, "Hello," will be released on 23 October 2015. – Staff Writers
