SYDNEY, Australia (CelebrityAccess) — The inaugural edition of the iHeartRadio Australia Music Festival has been canceled, just a month ahead of its scheduled date.
Organizers for the event, which was set for Oct. 18 at Sydney's Allphones Arena, said that the event was canceled due to being unable to secure an additional headliner for the event.
"As a consequence of the unavailability of another headline act, due to be announced this week, we have cancelled the event for now," festival organizers wrote in a press statement released on ticketing website Ticketek.
Miley Cyrus, who's headed to Oz in October as part of her BANGERZ tour, was the only other announced headliner for the event.
The festival was to be presented by the Dainty Group, in partnership with Sydney's KIIS 1065 radio station. – Staff Writers
