Azealia Banks Dropped From Festival Line-Up

LONDON (VIP NEWS) — After tweeting racist abuse at former One Direction star Zayn Malik, Azealia Banks has been dropped from the line-up of UK festival Born & Bred.

The US rapper insulted Zayn Malik after accusing him of copying her video for Yung Rapunxel on Like I Would.

After posting screenshots from both videos, she began a racist and homophobic rant.

Born & Bred festival tweeted to say it was removing Azealia from the line-up.

Azealia Banks has since deleted most of her controversial tweets.

Wiley, Benga, Lady Leshurr and Mikill Pane are all set to appear on the bill.

After tiring of verbally abusing Zayn, Azealia turned her attention to UK rap as a whole, tweeting that "UK rap is just a disgrace to rap culture in general".

Understandably, British urban artists weren`t happy.

DJ Target, Blizzard and NoLay were among the musicians who chimed in to argue with her when she claimed that none of her music was influenced by the UK scene or grime.

South London MC NoLay also pointed out that, despite her apparent disdain for the UK rap scene, Azealia has collaborated in the past with British rapper Shystie. –According to BBC
