BOONE, Iowa (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Central Iowa Expo has named Randy Baumeister as its general manager, VenuWorks President Steve Peters announced.
Baumeister has been a contract consultant for VenuWorks at the Central Iowa Expo (CIE) since 2007. Before that he worked 25 years in multiple management positions at the Iowa State Center in Ames, Iowa.
The Central Iowa Expo is located on over 100 acres in Central Iowa, in Boone County between the cities of Boone and Ames. It is the biennial host of the Farm Progress Show, the nation’s largest outdoor farm show that features state-of-the-art information and technology for agricultural producers. It also hosts other events and activities.
Baumeister joins Executive Director Andy Long at the CIE.
“Randy has expertise and experience that I believe will help develop the Central Iowa Expo into one of the top outdoor venues in the Midwest,” Peters said. “He was a big part of getting the Central Iowa Expo up and running.”
