BINGHAMTON, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Country rockers Big & Rich invaded Binghamton, New York, last week for an impromptu free show after making an unscheduled stop at WHWK, a local country music station.
Big Kenny, John Rich and Raybaw Records Director of Promotions Jimmy Rector stop in for a surprise visit to the station while on the road between tour dates. They spent the majority of their time on air talking about their roadtrip and discussing the duo’s current single, “8th of November.”
After chatting on air for a few minutes, they guys decided that they were in the mood to entertain a live audience. The station contacted Magic City Music Hall’s Dave Anderson, who helped set up a show for that night, calling in employees and lining up amenities for the last minute free gig.
The band turned in a 90-minute set for the throng of fans lucky enough to hear Big & Rich announce the show on the radio that afternoon. The duo ended the gig with a moving a capella version of “8th of November.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
