Superhero founder Ryan J. Downey has joined Blood Company and brings with him his stable of managers, bands, on-air talent, producers and filmmakers. Downey founded the company nearly six years ago and represents Bleeding Through, Demon Hunter, Throwdown and Tiger Army as well as former MTV reporter Iann Robinson, among others.
Blood Company was founded by CEO Tim Smith and includes partners Dave Taylor and Chris Byrnes. The Blood Company staff includes managers Daniel Davison, Tes Davison, Scott Lloyd and Kevin Leos. Downeybrings with him his staff of managers, including Ryan "Dog" Nelson, Brandan Schieppati and Joseph Meerseeman.
The two management companies will now exist as one under the Blood Company banner, with Superhero remaining as a production house entity. Superhero Productions has already produced broadcast, DVD and web content for a number of clients, including Lionsgate, Comcast, MySpace, FEARnet, Tooth & Nail Records, Virgin and more.
The newly launched Blood Company website showcases the company's wide-ranging roster of bands, directors, photographers, producers, remixers, writers / arrangers and on-air talent. Bios appear alongside MP3s, videos, high-res publicity photos, high-res logos, discographies, management teams, booking contacts and other information.
