CONWAY, SC (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Coastal Carolina University has landed a naming rights partner for their new on-campus arena and student recreation center, telecommunications company Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC.)
The 20-year deal is reported to be worth $3.61 million (125,000 a year in cash and $55,500 in services) and will see the new venue named the HTC Center, according to financial details revealed by the school.
The $35 million dollar facility is on track to open August 20th with a formal dedication ceremony.
“What it does for us, just simply, we have so many projects as far as new buildings and the baseball and softball stadiums, they are able to help with some of the wiring and infrastructure of certain things,” Roach said. “We were just trying to take advantage of who they are, and with any contract it has to be a win-win on both sides so that’s what we were trying to do.” Mark Roach, executive director of the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation told local newspaper The Sun. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
