The final nominees for the 2003 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are Abba, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Chic, The Clash, Elvis Costello & the Attractions, The Dells, Kraftwerk, Lynyrd Skynyrd, MC-5, The Police, The Righteous Brothers, The Sex Pistols, Patti Smith Group, and Steve Winwood. Black Sabbath is been nominated for the sixth time, Lynyrd Skynyrd for the fourth time, AC/DC for the third time and The Dells and The Sex Pistols twice. Patti Smith was nominated twice alone without her band; Costello was also eligible to be nominated as a solo without his Attractions.
