Dangerbird Signs Producer Jacquire King

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Jeff Castelaz, owner of Dangerbird Management, announced the signing of Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Jacquire King to a representation deal.

King has worked with Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, Cold War Kids, Mute Math, Punch Brothers and Norah Jones, among others.  This deal brings King full circle with Castelaz, who originally managed the producer’s career from 1999-2001.

“Jacquire is the first actual professional producer I ever met. To this day, he is still one of the most talented producers I’ve ever heard,” said Castelaz. “We’ve remained friends over the years, and it’s been a joy to see his evolution and success over the last decade.  I’m grateful and elated to be back on the business path with Jacquire.”

King won his first Grammy Award in 1999 for his work on that year’s Best Contemporary Folk Album, Tom Waits’ Mule Variations.  More Grammys followed in 2003, when King was honored for the Best Traditional Blues Album for Buddy Guy’s Blues Singer, and again in 2010 for his co-production, engineering and mixing of Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody,” which earned the Record of the Year award.

King has been working in the studio most recently with the Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men, as well as with the Punch Brothers on the upcoming album, Who's Feeling Young Now?
