SEDGEFIELD, UK (CelebrityAcccess) – Organizers for Down To The Woods, a new festival in the Northeastern UK, announced that the event's inaugural year has been canceled due to finances.
In a post on the fest's website, a rep for festival organizer Hardwick Live wrote:
"Due to the present financial climate and current ticket sales a decision has been made to not proceed with this year's inaugural Down To The Woods Festival. Having taken a long hard look at this year's event, we have had to make this very difficult decision which has not been taken lightly to cancel this year's Festival."
The festival, which was set to take place at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield, County Durham, August 13 and 14, featured a lineup that included Primal Scream, Echo & The Bunnymen, Chase, We Are Scientists and Catfish & the Bottlemen, among numerous others.
A spokesman for the event told the Northern Echo that already purchased tickets could be exchanged for entry and camping at Kendal Calling, another music festival in the region which will take place on the weekend of July 28th. – Staff Writers
