CANNES, France (VIP NEWS) — Starting on Saturday, January 22, Midem will again attract a large number of music business executives to Cannes, France.
The Finnish music industry will be represented broadly at one of the biggest music industry events in the world, as 78 delegates from 38 companies travel to Cannes to find new business, as well as to nurture existing relationships. Every sector of the Finnish music industry will be covered.

MidemNet Lab – a startup showcase organized in connection with the main event -will highlight the most innovative digital startups in the music industry at the moment.
This year, a grand total of five Finnish companies were chosen as finalists; Geisha Music, GigsWiz, Playmysong, SongHi and Steam Republic will pitch their business to an international panel of judges consisting of industry experts, venture capitalists and digital media. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 25.
