LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — 5 Seconds Of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford was taken to the hospital on Saturday after his hair caught on fire during a show at London's Wembley Arena.
A video shows that the 19-year-old guitarist appeared to stray too close to some on stage pyrotechnics, which ignited his hair. The video shows him quickly beating the flames out and heading back stage before the show was canceled.
"Michael has hurt himself so we will not be continuing the show right now," band-mate Ashton Irwin later told the audience. "Just want to say thank you so much for coming. He is OK. You guys have been the best crowd we could ask for tonight. Thank you so much."
Clifford later took to Instagram to let his fans know that he was alright, posting an image of his bandaged face along with a thumb's up.
"Feeling loads better and my face is fine 🙂 excited for the show tonight," Clifford tweeted on Sunday. – Staff Writers
