Flyleaf Forced To Postpone Shows

TEXAS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In a statement on the band's website, it was announced that due to temporary throat problems being experienced by the band's lead singer Lacey, that the band would be unable to perform at a handful of scheduled dates.

A blog entry posted by Lacey on the band's website, said "I'm so sorry everyone. We have been working very hard to get to see all of you and play in all of your towns. We have gotten so many beautiful letters and gotten to talk to so many of you these past three years of touring and as far as I can remember we have only had to postpone one other show. I guess what we have learned is that we are not robots and we can't treat ourselves like it. My voice has been acting up this whole tour. When I went to the doctor she looked at my vocal chords and immediately started to reprimand me for the damage I had done.. "Didn't you know your voice was not well?" "Yes, that's why I came here." Appalled, she said, "And still you continued to sing??" "Its my job." I said. And very matter of factly she stated, "Not for long if you continue this way." So I was ordered to be silent for five days. I'm sorry about all the shows being postponed, but we will come back and hopefully all of you will too. Thank you for your prayers, patience and understanding. Much Love, Lacey"

The postponed dates are:

4/13 @ Ford Field in Dertoit (canceled)
4/13 @ St. Andrews in Detroit
4/14 @ Bogarts in Cincinatti
4/15 @ House of Blues in Chicago
4/17 @ Berrymore Theater in Madison

The postponed dates will be rescheduled for later this year. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new dates and information on refunds will be forthcoming, said a spokesman for the van. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
