BRIDGEPORT, CT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Organizers for the popular Connecticut-based festival Gathering of the Vibes are hoping to catch some Black Friday magic and are putting VIP and Weekend Early Bird for the 2012 edition of the event on sale on Nov. 25th.
2012 will mark the 17th year for Vibes, which delivers four days of eclectic and family-friendly music from July 19-22 at Bridgeport Connecticut's Seaside Park. The all-ages event offering an exclusive family camping area, Kids Corner, and Teen Scene as well as a routinely solid, granola-flavored lineup.
"Music fans can sleep in late knowing that the perfect gift or stocking stuffer awaits them just a mouse click away," says Ken Hays, festival founder. "What could be better than gifting someone you love, a live musical experience they’ll remember for the rest of their lives?"
While it is too early for lineup announcements, Vibes organizers are promising a diverse array of more than 40 hours of music across multiple stages. Previous years have seen performances by Elvis Costello, Jane’s Addiction, FURTHUR with Phil Lesh & Bob Weir, The Allman Brothers Band, Crosby Stills & Nash, Damian Marley & Nas, and The Black Crowes. The festival also has a history of featuring breakout acts like moe., Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Jackie Greene, and Connecticut fan-favorites, The McLovins.
