CLEVELAND (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Cleveland State University has tapped venue management firm Global Spectrum to operate the Wolstein Center.

Global Spectrum will take over the day-to-day management of the venue, including booking , scheduling, marketing, maintenance, contracted services, staffing, customer services and other operations. The 15,500 capacity facility currently serves as a home to CSU's men and women's basketball teams as well as other entertainment offerings.

Global Spectrum subsidiary Ovation Food Services is being brought in to oversee concessions at the venue and another Global Spectrum company New Era Ticketing will also be brought in to handle event ticketing.

“The Wolstein Center is a terrific asset for Cleveland State and we want to maximize its potential,” said John T. Boyle, vice president for business affairs and finance at CSU. “Therefore, we felt it was important at this time for us create a relationship with Global Spectrum and Ovations Food Services to bring their high level of customer service and creative planning and execution to Cleveland State to help us realize our true vision for the Wolstein Center.”

Previously, the Wolstein had been operated for CSU by SMG. Global Spectrum is a subsidiary of Philadelphia-based Comcast-Spectacor. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
