Good Life Gatecrasher Faces Prison Term Over Assault On Festival Security


PERTH, Western Australia (CelebrityAccess) — A teenager who jumped the fence and assaulted a security guard during the Perth edition of this year's Life is Good touring festival has been slapped with a prison sentance and a festival ban.

18-year-old Martin John Fulton plead guilty to to assault occasioning bodily harm and trespassing, as well as a seperate charge of shoplifting in an unrelated incident and is facing 8-months behind bars, As well, he has been barred from attending music festivals for two years once he is released, Perth Now reported.

A video of the festival incident shows Perth kicking a festival security staffer in the head while said staffer was wrestling on the ground with another fence jumper. Fulton's lawyer argued that Fulton was merely trying to help a friend who appeared to be in trouble, but other testimony at the trial painted a different picture.

“It was a malicious act that he purposely intended to do – he admitted [on Facebook] that he was going to go there to attack security,” one of Fulton's compatriots testified. – Staff Writers
