Dolly Parton will embark on a North American tour beginning in August. Produced by House of Blues, the Vintage Tour tour begins at the newly opened House of Blues Atlantic City on August 16. The Vintage Tour stops will include venues such as Radio City Music Hall in New York, Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto and Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
"We are honored to be producing Dolly's tour," says Kevin Morrow, senior vice president of Entertainment at House of Blues. "She has an immeasurable gift for touching a wide spectrum of audiences. By mixing cut down arenas with theatres and clubs, we're offering fans throughout North America a great opportunity to see Dolly in a variety of settings."
Parton is currently in the studio putting the final touches on her forthcoming album, Those Were The Days, due for release in October on Sugar Hill Records. Of the upcoming tour, Parton says "Well, I'm at it again. I'm very excited about the new Vintage Tour. I will be featuring vintage songs of my own (the songs I'm most known for) in addition to many of your old favorites from the past that I have recorded for a new album that is due out in the early fall. It's going to be lots of fun and bring back lots of memories, so come on out and be a part of it."
