James Baudoin Named Executive Director For Collin County Venue

COLLIN COUNTY, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — James Baudoin will be the top dog at the new Collin County arts hall, reported the Dallas Morning News.

Previously Baudoin held the same title at the RiverCenter in Columbus, GA, where he ushered along the $78 million project from pre-construction in 1997 through the completed project in 2002 and right on up through this year.

Though his contract will not be formalized until December 15, Baudoin already has ideas on the new project. “This is not building a Meyerson symphony hall, where you go in a tuxedo,” he told the Morning News. “What's needed in Collin County is a family-oriented facility. It really needs to fit into a park setting where people can go.”

As of now, the project has raised all but $11 million of the $68 million dollar cost. The 2,100 seat venue is expected to host its first show as early as 2009. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
