PALM BEACH, FL (CelebrityAccess) — Jeff Chabon, general manager of the Kansas Expocentre since February, announced he plans to leave the post for a new job with AEG Live's Southeast office in West Palm Beach, Fla.
In an interview with the Topeka Capital-Journal on Tuesday, Chabon said that he was approached by a former colleague about the Florida-based job. He noted that Tuesday was his last day running the Expocentre on behalf of FG.
“It’s been nothing but a positive experience for me here,” he told the newspaper.
Prior to joining SMG to oversee the Expocentre, Chabon ran Chabon Group, a consultancy. Before that, he spent almost 8 years as Director of Booking for AEG Facilities at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
Jeff got his start in the industry as Director of Marketing and Sales at Florida-based concert promoter Fantasma Productions. – Staff Writers
