LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Kylie Minogue has declared war on the scalpers who are peddling tickets to her upcoming Showgirl tour on Internet auction site eBay.
Ticket prices for the Wembley appearance of her comeback tour, which sold out in minutes, have reached upwards of 900 dollars, US the Sun reported.
Kylie reacted promptly, putting pressure on ticket outlets to cancel seats that had been resold on eBay. In a letter from ticket vendor See Tickets stated that all seats they have ordered but not yet received will be cancelled. "This is because you have sold your tickets to a third party without the express written permission from the promoters of the event." the letter noted.
Promoter Harvey Goldsmith went a step further, stating "eBay are an absolute disgrace. They have no right to be doing what they are doing." as he demanded that they stop facilitating the resale of concert tickets. – CelebrityAccess staff writers.
