MEMPHIS (CelebrityAccess) — The East Beale Street Development Project, which includes a pair of theatres, announced that it would be partnering with Live Nation. The deal will see Live Nation booking and operating the New Daisy Theater and the Palace Theatre, located on adjacent properties on the east end of Beale Street in Memphis.
The plan will see the venues refurbished, with The Palace serving as a concert venue and nightclub with a capacity for 2,400, while the New Daisy Theater will be able to accommodate 1,100 patrons, with VIP boxes, a balcony and a patio, along with a newly designed bar areas and expanded restroom facilities.
“This is good day for downtown Memphis.” Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell said during a press conference announcing the partnership. “It adds value for all of us.”
Live Nation House Of Blues Entertainment Coo Ben Weeden added: "We find a lot of the content nowadays is more in the venues the size of the The Palace and the New Daisy Theater, where all the artists are developing, and with the rich musical history of Memphis, it's the perfect market for Live Nation to support." – Staff Writers
